Bosco and I  remember you all  The "UK's Daily.. he was and is so so close to Genny and Joe .. since his days as Royal College Residency in Mayday Hospital  Thornton Heath  - when he met me and chose to come back to live in Kenya!!  as I was "stateless"  No [passport No Home Nothing My Parents denied and deprived of everything Dad worked for.

They could not travel and would not travel till 1967 when Kenya Govt gave them that ONE WAY Ticket out to Far Far Away Western British Canada Bosco does remember Colin Bocarro in his class of 1951 as were George IVES Pereira 2 Carvalhos Armando menezes in Standard K-4?   before A Menezes went to the Arab Boys school.. or whatever it was called in 1946-50   Mohammed Lodi explained on this site but I have forgotten already. It became George VI at some point.

Armando made his home in Barnsley (near Birmingham I think) Bosco and  went there and visited them when on a Medical Conference  30 years or so ago.

His English wife Marion was such a bubbly bright woman loved Saligao where they went on many a Vacation. Erlich's son has turned Dr Menezes Saligao Home there into a modern B & B.."SECRET GARDEN"  So sad that Marion died about 12 years ago but Armand was strong and always his Cheerful self when came with his daughter to the USA  - right after the Sad Loss.  

Daughter about 25 then was playing Cello at a Performance in a seaside resort  in Massachusetts not far from us .. 2 hour drive...Both Their children David and Elizabeth .. are  now prominent Opera Singer/ Performers   Recording artists etc..

I had not seen Armand for 50 years since he left Zanzibar  and we met  again only one other time Aug 2010  when He came to a PINTO REUNION  of my Dad's side.. yes we are so so many    Mom had 5 sisters  5 Brothers  Dad  Three sisters  and Four other brothers. 

In 2010 Downtown Toronto   we meet to honor last remaining AUNTY ANN Pinto 93 married to my Dad's  Youngest Brother  Dr JL G  

She is the one Bridesmaid in Mom's wedding picture not her sister but   "future" sister in law..!  She died in 2014  I thiink in Phoenix..  Arizona   My Dad's Brother died in St Louis Missouri when he came to his MD Daughter's place to receive treatment for cancer but it was too late that was 1985 .... Dad died in 1991 aged 95..

In the Picture you posted of me playing Table Tennis in Royal Tech Nairobi 1959   Seated directly behind me is My "future" sister in law  Lally now DR Mc Dermott living near Joseph de Lord. Who knew what the future would bring? and bring us to.

Your amazing site with Mohamed Modi and Adolph -  now has M Maciel and Lucian de Sa is bringing so many with different "other" writers leaders teachers and memory/ experiences to enter into an awesome " time" capsule  inseparable from SJCSZAN... Yahoo / Google  ..one led into the other and Madhu Mukesh opened The "Memory  lane"  after TUMEKUJA   became a reality for those left to tell the Rest of the story 1964-1984 I was to wonder what happened for 30 years No word No picture Nothing.   Till I saw a Program on TV offering the story of Africa  by Louis Gates Professor in Harvard.  Then I saw an Interview with a women named UMAA  telling her memory of the NIGHT of the Revolution  but what got to me was she was standing in the open space of the Anton Jose Maria Mario Thelma Machado Home I walked past it every day as I went to Lenna Patel Home above it.!!

After that I searched the Internet nad came across the Bargash Terrance Royer  Jo Birkmeyer site on the History of Zanzibar.. Pictures and info .. and on to the SJCSZAN Reunion 2004   Guess who etc,.

now 2024  LOOMS we can do an imaginary ZOOM into the future 40 years later as we all Come together after we all "Flew away"  like that Albatross Zeno gave us as incentive to Go back down memory Lane.

I sat with Zeno all through the Zan Picnic and Bosco and I beside you and Betty at the Grand Gala Ball with the other Three Bruno Joyce and Francis (Miranda ? or who  from Australia or Arizona  -  does he ever write and keep in touch?)

So as you can see I have a second place my Memory lane TORONTO Etobicoke Missisauga where over 100 closest cousins aunts uncles lived there 1955-2005. 

A PINTO REUNION JULY 1 -2  because they heard all of us  "African Cousins " some never knew or met!!  Joe Elaine and Myself were going to attend SJCSZan REUNION 05.

 

Joe Pinto Wedding anniversary (30 +)  was  that Mass organised by your sister Yvette!!  and I have the souvenir Booklet.

I was sitting with Joe and Villa. Her parents (one brother and couple of sisters)  lived in Toronto after the UGANDA 1970's  story.

Feel free to share anything I give you with whoever asks  - offline or privately.

What YOU/we are doing is looking into each others Personal Private Neighbourhood's. (de Souza Clegg's) Here a family  owned this Farmland 100 years ago and it still is called Cushman Village with a historic Dukka  still in operating offering 21st Century stuff.

 

ONLY God  Munguu  (Christ is Legion  many many persons Jesus was just one face but never without Mary and Joseph 33 years)  is making the connection to each and every  church club story or city named for St Joseph, St Mary  and San Salvador  do Mundo!  "Saviour of  the World .   

That is Why Yvette your sister,  Yvette my Mom's sister and every persons named Yvette are so key  - generation to generation.
