"40 Years" later

 I began this newsletter this on February  4   2014 - to honor my Dad and all who were involved in his Education - that enabled him to be  the Headmaster Teacher Administration personell Team in Bombay India 1925-28.  Before he sailed away to Zanzibar Island where he was to serve in the British Administrator General Office .. until 1956/57  and unpon retirement to seve on vaious committees adn planning Councils fir what would emerge as New Govt after the British Throne and Crown Rule ceased to exist in Zanzibar 1963. ^0 years later we see hear and some actually  "taste touch smell" the change  now experienced - as "Paradise"  

 After my many decades with Pre and After school   "Day Care" I am, now looking after myslef and husband as "Care Giver"  " Care Taker"   "CarePerson in Our Peer group 80-95 years old..   

I  was( 1990 -2000 AD)  appalled by the indifferent shrug to most questions - when young folks aged 23-25 were given  a choice..such as 

      "Do you want soup or salad " ?   " Coffee or tea ?"  "this or that College"   " This or that sexual partner"  " Apt roomate" " Candidate for President of the USA "    to name but a few, the answer always was "I don't care" or "I couldn't care less" 

Little did I know then that such apathy and indiffernt was really indication of a deadly "mortal sin" known as "Acedia" or Sloth.  The Opposite sin of course is Pride that leads to Idolatry.    How we react to who we are as a group is precisely how we react to who we preceive God to be. As Atheism and "secular" here and now focus increases  - wealth power and glory brought to us by possessions and money become critical.  On the opposite end are those who are So "spiritual" they only go with what cannot be seen ( angels or devils, or forces beyond nature ) and notwhat is SACRA Mental.  Direct Sources and Resources from Divine Grace is what Religion and Religious Instituions have created for us.

ANTI theists, THE ists and DE ists are specific in their demands and have specific goals.

The biggest dilema of the 20th Century was whether or not to declare the Great Imperial Monarchial System had ended.  Most" Crown Gown Throne: events  around the world were brought down to the level of a Halloween Costume Party or a Holylwood SAward Ceremony Event,  an Annual Festival Parade.  Nothing brought more tourists or Hotel and Restuarant bookings and associated business revenues  than The Coronation, Funeral or Wedding of a King or Queen or Royal Heirs.

February is Holy Family Month Honoring JMJ Jesus Mary Joseph as a Real True Historical Family who lived togther for 30 years in  Nazareth Galilee, making  BC 15-15 AD the reason we Celebrated Y2 K  around  planet Earth -with  Fireworks, starting  West of International Date Line..  an ending 24 hours later East of the same Line. A quick Trip  Virtual Online - to the Marshall Islands from Vancouver or San Fran or LA will refresh all minds and memories.

 It was therfore a great thrill for me to visit The Marshall Islands to see my son working there  2017 January 2-- March 22.  He is Our First American Born in my wonderful long Sgaga that began with Grandparents in British India.1890- Parents 1990  - and Our Usa Family 2020.

 I had three younger Brothers and Two  older sisters but remember only those I had close contact with after 1960. 60 years ago.  "Last memories of Zanzibar"  were reviewed and revisted  only after we moved to North America. Desmond Francis Clarence was aged 11 when I left for Makerere College and just celbrated Birthday  17 at our Last Christmas Together December 1963.  Boys and Men alone were being prepared to  Lead, Teach, Make Policy and control behavior and action  of Creature Features 1960 - 64  Zanzibar. Jozani Forest with a very rare Colobus Monkey and other indigenous native beautiful fauna and flora  were prtected and preserved for all to enjoy. 

        

Our Family was made such 80 years ago the birth of a daughter who has survived to this date  and now lives in Vancopuver a sister born 1939 died soon after birth. Jospeh Libano Pinto our Dad would live his last 10 years on Planet Earth  aged 84-94.  Born September 1896 in British Military Stronghold in POONA India  he was laid to rest in Surrey BC Gardens of Gethsemane British Columbia.  Our Family Name PINTO, is embedded in the gravesite beneath a Magnificent Trio of Everygreen Firs and fitting enough all three born in British India lie there side by side   Dad Mom and Brother Desmond who joined them aged 56.  He was born when Dad was 50 ! as was our youngest Mike to his Dad  1986.  Joe Pinto came  five years later  1951  when Our Dad was  55.  As the Popular melody in "Grease"  Uh Uh Oh O staying alive,  staying alive made me think of  AAA Automobile Association of America " 55 speed limit" best for staying alive if you drive.

     Having children later in life assures the name bearing man, those children will carry his name to the end of that century ! Dad Joseph Liban Pinto was carried into the 21st Century by both his sons ( Desmoin died in 2002) and us, his two older daughters. 

I always Connect my tiny part to the Greatest Story ever told.

The Birth of a Fifth EGG ( Ethnic Goa Girl) generation born to an Ethnic Goan Husband in some Overseas Island was to Our 20th Century Goa people as amazing and wonderful as any Hollywood or Bollywoood would ever dream up. Our friends and neighbors in our tiny Village had heard of "Shangrila" and "Utopia" for male sons that had to choose to be celibate if they were to be called Holy Santa.  Not so women if they are to be fruitful they must be fertile and fit.  Women have different Body Parts,Hormones,  Nervous Systems, and  Auto Immune reactions. Mother Eve selected, elected, protected  inspected  predelected as First Female  Feminine Matriarch, is still relevant when men choose the Mistress best suited to their favorite "Master of the House"  story after Oversea Fathering  had taken place far from the Original Native Aborginal Origin of that particular species of Female Child.  The Mission Ministry and Military success  seen in Jeanne D'Arc du Fancaise inspired many a girl  willing and able to mount a Horse/ Stud  or command a  Ship on the oceans or in space in any Century since...

God gave us all a detailed, precise design and plan, to be carried out as a resident in a "city" such as I have lived in on the margins, outskirts, borders of Kampala Uganda at Makerere College as a student 1958-64 aged 16-22 and in Nyali Mombasa as we prepared to depart East Africa. I had arrived as a political refugee, June 1964, to become First year teacher, bride/ daughter in law, and new Mother of four infant toddlers. In  1974 we left after our youngest was five years old. We took up Residence in a "New Haven" in a Nation that finally permitted us to be Citizens,  March 12  1980. It was exactly five years after the weekend we first visited that "Town" and spent the night in the home fo Dr Patrick Mc Carthy.  

Thus forever  will I sing the praises of the God who created named and possessed the "Keys" to the Kingdom with no end in sight for Queen Victoria.   A Victoria Victorious Aunty AVVA  is leader mover shaker teacher speaker for her Daddy her ABBA. So too Mama Mia Meryl Streep in a Box office Hit portraya of Normal Natural Native Nighttime Nightlife  from Thessalonica- to Nice France or any historic place.  The Birdseye view of it all,  is fantastic whether it is Eye of an Eagle a Dove a Swallow or a Sparrow.  On the ground we have, ducklings, chicks, snowbirds or blue birds,the Canadian Goose and Gander. What a Pleasure and Joy it was for me to haul each toddler child  up to the window to peer out over the clouds on our many travels across the USA to Hawaii to Europe adn yes "across the Sea to Ireland"  that created in us the mystical magical mysterious musical mastery of Sound .. The Mind of Christ is a SOUND MIND !..

       

Now I turn my  thoughts to my own dearest Siblings.

     With my sister E MT I  recall our life together with a very short loved brother AA   Aug 1945- Jan 4 1946. D F C  Born Dec 18 1946 and died 2002. Our first Born  beautiful baby sister Philomena born and died 1939  All are "fruit" of the amazing Wedding in Karachi INDIA  June 1938 just after Adolf  Hitler invaded and took over Austria. God had a Plan a Counter Offensive Plan Everlasting   COPE ! to help us cope. Josef/ Maria Ratzinger of Bavaria  named two younger of their three children Maria and Josef. Their eldest Georg  pronounced "Gay Org"  Professor Music Director  in Ragensburg Germany lived to see Joseph become Pope Benedict. 

       Arnold Swartznegger also from Bavaria Austria is "the Terminator"  A California Governor married to the GrandDaughter of the Catholic Irish Rose Fitzgerald of Hyannis and Joseph Kennedy  Now divorced His Impressive Voicestill  booms from Jolly  Bolly Dolly Hollywood .. 

God inspires each  Mom and Dad to give themselves to each other in the Normal Natural way so the Natural Family Tree is like a Christmas Tree filled with Divine Joy or a fruit and  nut bearing one that sustains ordinary life.  Nieces and nephews born the past  FORTY Years .1 9 8 4 - 2024  could well go   with our sons to the The River Jordan  in Jordan and sing

 It was one group of  Wesleyan students who made it a Number one hit in the 1960's   Our Michael was in Wesleyan 2004-2008.

All part of God's Eternal Everlasting Divine plan for Our J L Pinto Family Grandparents  were in Goa. My Dad's Mr and Mrs Cecile Pinto Povorim Village Goa -  House Number 84  homestead now modernized and renovated.  Mom  Martha's  Assagao Village  were made Famous  in  Mabel de Souza Assagao to Sebastian Pinto Povorim.. and they gave us their Daughter  Miss IONA PINTO -  Miss Bombay/ Miss India  to be "runner Up"  in the first ever  Miss International  1960 Los Angeles..  She died years ago.. Elaine and I  do rememebr being with her , their parents sisters and Only Brother ( in TX I am told)  in their APT home in Marine drive Bombay Dec 1948
